PADI Open Water Diver
If you’ve always wanted to take scuba diving lessons, experience unparalleled adventure and see the world beneath the waves, this is where it starts. Get your scuba diving certification with the PADI Open Water Diver course – the world’s most popular and widely recognized scuba course.
The course takes three (Learn at Home) to four (classroom) days and consists of dive theory, pool sessions and four dives in the ocean. Upon completion, this certification will allow you to dive to 18m.
To enroll in a PADI Open Water Diver course (or Junior Open Water Diver course), you must be 10 years old or older. You need adequate swimming skills and need to be in good physical health. No prior experience with scuba diving is required.

To get a feel for the PADI Open Water Course, you can complete a FREE introduction to the learning material. The module covers things like hand signals and what it’s like to breathe underwater. Whether you decide to take your theory with us, or complete via PADI eLearning, the material gives you an idea what to expect!
The introduction is purely a sample and does not provide credit towards the PADI eLearning course, which is detailed below.

To take a dive course in 2 days and how to register for PADI eLearning
Scuba Diver
If you don’t have the time to complete the full Open Water course, finish half of it with Tamarind Divers and become a PADI Scuba Diver. This course takes two days and consists of dive theory, pool sessions and two ocean dives.
PADI eLearning
An alternative to completing the theory with us, is to sign up for PADI eLearning, where you complete the knowledge development online, saving more time to enjoy your holiday. All you need to do is click on the link to the PADI eLearning website and you can start right away! Note – you pay PADI for this option (A$262) and we reduce the course fee you pay us by IDR 800,000.
